Jon Nicholas joined the BarbershopHarmonySociety in 1977 at the age of 16. Singing with the LouisvilleThoroughbreds? , he acquired two international gold medals (1978 & 1981).

Jon first became a member of the CardinalDistrictQuartetChampions in 1984, singing baritone with TheClassOf84? . He became a two-time member in 2000, singing baritone with TheSensations? .

Jon has sung in two international-level quartets: TheSensations? (2001 - Nashville, 20th place) & TheNewSensations? (2003 - Montreal, 24th place).

Jon became the front line musical director of TheKentuckians (Lexington Kentucky chapter) in January, 2002. TheKentuckians won their AA plateau championship in 2003, and won the AAA plateau championship in 2004.

Jon began BarbershopArranging in 2002. His arrangements have since been sung by many choruses including those in British Columbia, Canada; Bristol, England; and on the international stage (2005 - LouisvilleThoroughbreds? ).

Jon is a four-part-qualified member of the woodshedding organization, [AHSOW].
