What is a Wiki?

A wiki is a type of website that allows anyone visiting the site to add, remove, or otherwise edit content, very quickly and easily. The term wiki is a shortened form of the Hawaiian phrase wiki wiki, which means "quick" or "fast."

A wiki simplifies the process of creating web pages, and records each individual change that occurs over time, so pages can be reverted to any of their previous states. Note that wiki content can sometimes be misleading, as users are bound to add incorrect information. This is our mantra: if something's missing, add it. If something's incorrect, fix it.
